about us

Thanks to our Ingersoll Lions Club
Ingersoll Services for Seniors opened as a part time program in March 1992 with one part time staff providing 2 services to Ingersoll seniors.
In
December of 1994, in response to suggestions from local seniors,
a Drop-in Centre for Seniors at 58 Thames Street South was opened with volunteer facilitators.
We have grown from a Centre membership of just over 75 members to close to 600 members today, and from offering 12 weekly programs in a 1 room centre (Lions Club) to today’s 43 weekly programs, plus our
special events, in a close to 12,000 square foot Centre (Suzuki House).
Our Services Department continues to assist Ingersoll residents and “neighbours” by offering everything from rides to and from appointments to a nutritious meal in your own home or at the Centre.
The success of our organization is because of a team effort.
The Members, Volunteers, Board of Directors, Staff and Community Friends make us one of the greatest teams in the area.
