CAP (Community Access Program) is a program of Industry Canada. CAP works with rural
Canadian communities to take advantage of new communication
technologies. CAP's goal is to foster economic, social, and cultural
growth in Canada.
Since being designated as CAP sites (most in 1995), the communities served by
Oxford County Library have had access to a world's wealth of information and opportunity
over the Internet. Each year since 1996, the communities have also benefited for
a 10-12 week period by virtue of CAP Youth being there to assist people with their Internet
needs (thanks to the Government of Canada through Industry Canada and Human Resources
& Skills Development). Below are links to more detailed reports
